Funeral Services for Mr. Fred B. Gressett, Jr. will be held Friday, January 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM in Webb Chapel with Dr. Owen Gordon officiating. Burial will be at Springhill United Methodist Church Cemetery in DeKalb. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gressett, age 78, of Meridian, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in Rush Hospital.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, he recently received their highest honor of the Pilgrim. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marines and member of the American Legion Post, Legionnaires and a lay leader at Springhill United Methodist Church in DeKalb.

Daughter: Deborah King of Meridian
Grandchildren: Jason Gressett and wife, Robin; Ginger Gressett, Johnny Ray King,
Kenny Gressett and Jimmy Gressett
Sister: Katherine Fontane of Pensacola, FL
Stepchildren: Janet McWilliams, Ray Hoyt, Susie Vandevender
Mother-in-law: Rowena Vandevender of DeKalb, MS
Sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Bradley and Barbara Williamson of Canton, MS
Very special friend: Donna White of Meridian
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Annie Boswell Gressett, Sr.: wife, Catherine Gressett; son, Wendell Gressett; father-in-law, Holly Hailey and 9 siblings.
Pallbearers will be Ted Burton, Larry Richards, Larry Ratliff, Tony Lowman, Tonia Benton and George Jackson.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 6 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Loyal Order of Moose will hold a funeral service at 7:30 at the closing of visitation.
