George Gary Boles

Services for George Gary Boles will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Webb Chapel with Bro. Dennis Coats officiating. Burial will be in Bucatunna Cemetery in Snell, MS.

Mr. Boles, 68, of Myrtlewood, Alabama, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Anderson Hospital. He was born July 12, 1947, to the late Luther Boles and Idella Tanner Boles.

He was a long time employee of Georgia Pacific in Pennington, AL. He worked in law enforcement in several different townships and cities throughout AL, but the most recent, and favorite, was serving as Police Chief in Sweetwater, AL.

Survivors include his children, Crystal Boles (Pete), and Janis Boles (Russell); grandson, Matthew Panebianco; sister, Janet Stewart (Randy); nephew, Dewayne Baskin (Julie); and nieces, D'Aunn Odom (Keith), Stacy Simmons (Andy), and Trisi Baskin (Bo).

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Beverly Joyce Boles Holloman.

Special thanks given to Crystal Watkins, RN, Dr. John Voss, MD, Hallie, Lisa, and Patricia at Anderson Oncology Center. Dessie Jones and Gentiva Home Health Staff, and Brookdale Senior Living Associates for their love, compassion, and prayers during this difficult time.

Pallbearers will be Roger Robinson, Randy Shirley, Terry Dearman, George Crocker, Paul Mosley, and Roland Davis (Mayor of Sweetwater, AL).

Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
