Gladys Henderson

Funeral services for Gladys Henderson will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel in DeKalb, with Bro. James Ruffin officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will immediately follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Henderson, age 91, of DeKalb, passed away December 26, 2018, at University Medical Center.

Gladys was born and raised in the House community in Neshoba county. She gained her Registered Nursing license from Rush School of Nursing and immediately went to work at Kemper County Hospital, where she worked for nearly forty years. She was a faithful and active member of DeKalb Baptist Church.

Gladys is survived by her son, Jeff Henderson (Sandy); grandchildren, Robert William Henderson and Adam Stacey Henderson; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Lilly Grace and Chase Henderson; sisters, Effie (Arvis) Eldridge and JoBeth Tolbert, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Henderson; son, Jim Henderson; and sister, Irene Faile.
