Harmon Ross

June 8, 1930 — October 5, 2019

Harmon Louis Ross, beloved by many, left this earth bound for Heaven Saturday morning, October 5, 2019. He will be greatly missed by those of us who remain.

He went to sleep here on earth but awoke in Heaven to be with his family, friends, his Lord, and our God.

His wife Joan, his mother Lucille, his father Harmon, his brother James Howard, sisters Doris and Edith and many others rejoiced that morning as he joined them around the throne of our Lord.

One day, his sons Rickey and Craig, his daughter-in-law Susan, grandsons Rick, Steven and Judson and their families, his brother Leon, sister-in-law Shirley, and brother-in-law Nate will join with all their families and Louis to worship God together and celebrate a great family reunion.

An educator for over 40 years, Louis is now sitting and learning the mysteries of God at Jesus’ feet.

Hearts may be heavy with our sorrow and loss. However, let everyone rejoice in their spirit at Louis’ homecoming.

For those who wish to join together in celebration and memorial of Louis’ life, come join together at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Wednesday, October 9th at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather Tuesday, October 8th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home in Meridian for a time of fellowship and remembrance.

Interment will follow the Wednesday service in the church cemetery.
