Funeral service for Mr. Harold David Newell will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Webb Chapel with Rev. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Newell, 85, of Meridian, died Monday, November 24, 2014 in Meridian. He was an Army Veteran and member of First Baptist Church of Marion. He was a retired Mississippi State Trooper after 23 years.
He is survived by his sons: Scott Newell and wife, Donna of Collinsville, MS Mark Newell and wife, Melody of Montgomery, TX and Paul Newell of Meridian, MS daughter, Terri Woodall and husband, James of Saltillo, MS Five grandchildren Four great grandchildren brother, Ralph Newell and sister, Evelyn Null.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Nelson Newell parents, Ebbie and Lottie Newell brothers: John L. Newell, Leroy Newell, Rudy Newell, James Newell, Leon Newell and Joe Sam Newell sisters: MaryAnn, Blanche White and Hazel Newell.
Pallbearers will be Brad Newell, Justin Campbell, James Woodall, Brenton Woodall, Ricky Newell and Gary Newell.
