Graveside Services were held for Eugenia Rawson, Tuesday, September 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Coker's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Paul Roller officiating.
Mrs. Rawson, 98, died peacefully on September 12, 2009 in her home. She loved the Lord and sang to his glory. She was born September 7, 1911 in Texarkana, Tx to William Eugene Eubanks and Leila Louna Brower Eubanks. She graduated from Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas in May of 1929. She continued her education at East State University in Commerce, Texas where she received a degree in elementary education. There she met her husband Henry Hamilton and they married June 8, 1937.
They eventually moved to Meridian where Mrs. Rawson taught music at Southeast Elementary School and served as song director at Coker's Chapel UMC.
After retirement she and her husband traveled extensively. When Mr. Rawson died in 1983, she stayed busy with crafts and sewing and attended church regular.
