Services for Mrs. Helen W. McMullen will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Meridian with Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson at 3:30 p.m. with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Helen McMullen, 87, of Meridian, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2012, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church Meridian. She was a dedicated Christian who served the Lord. She deeply loved her church and entire church family. She served as secretary in the church office during Sunday School for some 30 years. She will be remembered by many for her smile every Sunday morning in the office, her cards as she remembered birthdays, anniversaries, special events in someones life or just as words of encouragement in times of illness, grief, or difficulties. She will also be remembered as the caregiver to all of her friends. The family would like express appreciation to the staff of Bedford Care for their service and care.

She is survived by her brothers, Marcel and Kenny Wall sister in law, Mary Blanche Scott and husband Ed special niece, Linda Wall of Denham Springs, La. nephew, John Wall and wife Vicki of Walker, La. nieces and nephews, Debbie Reeves and husband John, Janet Huffman, Howard Kennedy and wife Mary Lou, John Martin and wife Colleen, Mike Martin and wife Suzanne, Mary Ann Wiles and husband Bill, Margaret Ellen Martin, Steve Scott and wife Laurie, Jeff Scott, Ed Scott and wife Mimi, and Bob Joraloman and a host of great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John P. McMullen mother, Maude Goings Hall father, Lee Wall sisters, Billie Jo Wall, Marie Kennedy, and Minette McCurly and a brother, Milton Wall.

Pallbearers will be George Hill, Tommy Brewer, Ward Calhoun, Leonard Cobb, Randy Kemp, and Wade Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church Meridian.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church Meridian Music Fund, 701 26th Ave., Meridian, Ms. 39301
