Helen Mitchell

Helen Fisher Mitchell, age 87, of Meridian, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Christa House. Helen was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Oakland Heights Eastern Star for many years.
Ms. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her parents, Robert and Sarah Fisher; her brother, Everett Fisher; her sisters Lilian Boardman, Janie Hagwood, and Margaret Pickard.
Surviving family members include: her daughter, Patricia (Jimmy) Irby of Causeyville, MS; her son, Perry (Lea Ann) Mitchell of Philadelphia, MS; three grandsons: Keith (Tanya) Irby of Quitman, MS; Kevin (Cheri) Irby of Quitman, MS; and Travis (Andrea) Mitchell of Philadelphia, MS; six great-grandchildren: Shelby Irby, Jacob Irby, Hayleigh Irby, Chase Irby, Canyon Mitchell, and Jackson Mitchell; her brother Gene Fisher; sister-in-law Drucille Fisher; numerous nephews and nieces; and caregivers Dee and Ashley.
Pall bearers will be Keith Irby, Kevin Irby, Travis Mitchell, Jacob Irby, Canyon Mitchell, Jackson Mitchell, Robert Fisher, Dewayne Fisher, Ronald Fisher, Randy Fisher, and Gavin Fisher (Honorary).
Visitation and the funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 14th, 2017, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with funeral service at 12 p.m. Revs. Paul Raley and James Twiller will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
