Henry D. Purvis, Jr.
Henry D. Purvis, Jr., 65, of Meridian, passed away September 21, 2011 at Bedford Care Center in Marion, after a long struggle with Parkinsons disease. Mr. Purvis retired from Bellsouth Telecommunications, served in the Army Guard, was a Mason, a Shriner and an eagle scout.
He is survived by his children, Lea Castleberry and husband Charlie and Henry Dee Purvis and wife Leahann grandchildren, Courtney and Kennedy Castleberry and AnnaLeigh and Henry D. Hank Purvis, IV, who were the delights of his life his brothers, Edwin Purvis and wife Teri, Ron Purvis and Randy Purvis 3 nieces and 6 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Henry D. Purvis, Sr. a sister, Martha Loraine Purvis and a brother, Donald Lavelle Purvis.
Memorials may be made to Blair Batson Childrens Hospital in Jackson, or the Choctaw Area Council Boy Scouts of America.
