Hubert W. Coker

Services for Mr. Hubert W. Coker will be held Sunday at 3 pm at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Townsend officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Coker, 90, of Meridian, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Silverleaf Manor. He was retired from East Mississippi State Hospital after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Coker was a great father, and a wonderful grandfather who loved gardening and fishing with his family. He attended Arrowood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy Coker Creel and her husband Tony three granddaughters, Shannon Creel Weathers and husband Wade, Bayleigh Creel and Kelsey Creel sister, Frances Wilson brother, Clinton Coker and wife Helen and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Newton Coker parents, Willie and Fannie Coker of Newton and his brother, Lewis Coker.

Pallbearers will be his nephews and friends.
