Jack Paul Rushing

Services for Senior Master Sergeant Jack Paul Rushing will be held Thursday, February 29^th 2024 with Visitation from 1PM-2PM at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes North. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30PM in Meridian Memorial Park. 

Jack passed away with family by his side in Kosciusko, Mississippi on February 26, 2024. Born on March 28, 1929, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, Jack left home and joined the Military in 1950. He is a Veteran of the Korean War and dedicated 36 years of service before retiring with the Air National Guard. 

Married for 63 years, Jack and his wife raised their family in Meridian, Mississippi. Aside from being with his family, Jack loved golf. The greens were not just a place to play but a space where he found joy and camaraderie. He was also an avid chess player and enjoyed working in violin repair.

He is survived by children, Dana Rushing (Jane), and Brady Rushing (Kim). Grandchildren Matthew Rushing (Jessica), Kellie Rushing, Justin Rushing along with 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife Peggy Gaines Rushing, his Father William A. Rushing, Mother Gladys LaMastus Rushing and son John Michael Rushing.
