James Harris

Funeral services for Mr. James Harris will be held Wednesday at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel at 11am. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Harris, 79, of Meridian, passed away Sunday morning at his residence.
He was retired from Lauderdale County Road Division and also his early employment was with Brookshire’s Milk as a delivery driver.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife Janell of Meridian; daughters Janice Melton of Milton, FL, Lillian Barber (Shelby) of Olympia, WA; step-children Craig Moffett of Meridian, Pattie Martin (Scott) of College Station, TX.
He is also survived by grandchildren Devin Enterkin, Daniel Enterkin, Melissa Barber, Caty Barber; great-grandchildren Adalynn Enterkin, Annaleigh Enterkin and numerous step grandchildren.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents Gus Harris and Ella Rawson and three siblings.
