James Barnett

Graveside services for Mr. James C. “Pete” Barnett will be held Thursday at 10 am at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother Jack Giles officiating.  Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.

Mr. Barnett, 71, died Tuesday June 11 at Anderson’s Regional Medical Center. He was a retired consultant in the gas industry. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, supporting his church, Church of the Way, and aggravating his grandchildren.

Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife Sherrill Barnett; children Chad Barnett (Shanna), Whitney Zachary and Casey Eason (Rob); grandchildren Kaylei Barnett, Kate Barnett and Wesley Eason; sisters Shirley May and Sandra White; a brother Billy Barnett as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Gracie Barnett and a brother Larry Barnett.
