James M. Pop Bond

Services for Mr. James M. Pop Bond will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:30 am at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell McDonald officating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bond, 86, of Meridian died Friday, April 22, 2011 at his residence. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during World War II. He was a member of Druid Hills Methodist Church and a avid hunter. He retired from SacknSave grocery store as a meat cutter.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Bond of Meridian son, Joseph Bond of St. Augustine, FL grandchildren: Lauren Bond Cohen and husband, Michael of North Miami, FL Julia Bond Rybarezky and husband, Mathieu of Ft. Lauderdale, FL daughterinlaw, Carol Bond of Ft. Lauderdale, FL brother, Billy Bond and wife, Beth of Selma, AL two sisters: Ruth Keene of Starkville, MS, Pauline Barkfield of DeKalb, MS.

Preceded in death by Robert and Berta Wheeler Bond son, Richard Bond.

Pallbearers will be honorary members of Friends Together Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at James F. Webb Funeral Home.
