James Dubose

Mr. Dubose, age 64, of Meridian, passed away December 28, 2018, at his home.

Jim was born and raised in Brunswick, Georgia. He and his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he graduated high school. Upon graduation, Jim joined the United States Navy, being stationed at Whidbey Island, Washington, among other places. He served honorably for fifteen years as an electronic technician. While serving in the military, he had the opportunity to cross the equator twice. Jim loved being outdoors and could often be found outside either fishing or tinkering on cars and lawnmowers, but his greatest love was his family, who will miss him deeply.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Linda Smith Dubose; children, James Lee Dubose Jr and Shelley Dubose; grandchildren, Anthony Jacob Dubose, Devin Dubose, Daniel Dubose, Conner Dubose and Aleia Dubose; sisters, Virginia Ann Harper and Carol Goodin; his faithful furbaby, Eegie, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Dubose and Virginia West Dubose.
