James Elbert McDaniel


Graveside services for James Elbert McDaniel will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Donald Gentry officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McDaniel, 77, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He attended 8th Avenue Baptist Church. He was retired from Atlas Roofing Company after 43 years of service. He enjoyed working in his garden. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Joann McDaniel of Meridian son, Terry McDaniel of Pensacola, Fla. daughters: Kay Carter Larry of Nashville, Tenn., Susan Estes Hal of Noxapater grandchildren: Taylor Smith, Brooke Smith and Jacob Smith of Noxapater Matthew Carter and Zachary Carter of Nashville, Tenn. great grandchildren, Logan Elizabeth Crowson of Noxapater sisters: Ruby Grice of Meridian, Pauline Parker Douglas of Daleville and Glendell Kellum Cooper of Pascagoula brother, Bob McDaniel of Union and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Mary Elizabeth McDaniel brother, Wendell Buddy McDaniel sister, Ola Mae Russell.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Smith, Matthew Carter, Zackary Carter, Joe Stallings, Mike Kynerd and Greg Wooten.

Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home.
