Graveside Services for James D. Nichols will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11:00am at Graham Cemetery with Pastor Allen Shortridge officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Nichols, 55, of Meridian, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Mr. Nichols was known by so many names like the Gentle Giant because he never meet a stranger, his door was always open and he was willing to offer a helping hand to everyone and he was the best father and friend to his son The Watermelon Man for waving and people and selling watermelons on Highway 19 South, a small engine repairman and was a retired champion wrestler known as The Blue Cyclone.
He is survived by her son, Cody A. Nichols daughter, Jennifer D.D.D. Nichols mother, Johnnie Nichols sisters: Evelyn Thornhill Fred of Nelson, N.C Joyce Godwin Charles of Meridian Shirley Warren of Meridian and Wanda Mingo of Meridian brother, Aaron Earl Nichols Joyce of Meridian numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron James Nichols and brotherinlaw, Ronnie Warren.
