James M. "Jim" Parker, II
Services for James M. "Jim" Parker, II will be held Saturday at 11am at Hebron Baptist Church with The Reverend Richard Doc Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Parker, 65, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He was a hall of fame member of T.I.S.B.A. where he loved to play music with so many of his friends. He was best known to many for his musicianship as a steel guitar player. In recent years, he enjoyed a ministry playing music and encouraging those in area nursing homes. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing in various venues, and being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Jay Parker and wife Misty of Greeneville, TN, and Jon Parker of Meridian; grandchildren, Madalyn and Joel; great uncle Bud and great aunt Dorothy Parker Vick of Meridian; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Catherine Parker; and sister, Barbara Edwards.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 am at Hebron Baptist Church.
