James Wesley Robinson

Services for James Wesley Robinson will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023, 12:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church with Bro. Chance Walley officiating and Bro. Randy Satcher assisting. Interment will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-Downtown is honored to be trusted with arrangements.

Mr. Robinson, 86, of Quitman, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at his residence.

James was a member of Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. He was an avid gardener, specializing in his famous tomatoes. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending his time hunting and fishing in his younger years. He could also be spotted at his favorite place to eat, Bubba’s Fish Camp. However, nothing made him happier than being a “Pawpaw” to his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eloise Robinson; children, Dewayne Robinson and Penny Williams; grandchildren, Brandon Robinson (Whittley), JC Robinson, Nicholas Williams (Lachelle) and Jessica Duvall; great granddaughter, Kylie Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Stella Robinson; sister, Opal Long; and brother, Clarence Robinson Jr. “Moe”.

Pallbearers will include Josh Maggard, Chris Maggard, Joshua Maggard, Kelly Robinson, Keith Robinson, and Bo Duvall. The Honorary pallbearer will be Dan Williams.

Family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the church.
