Services for James “Bo” Sessions will be held Friday October 18, 2019 at 11am at Stephens Funeral Home of Meridian. Bro. Derrick Wilson and Bro. Ron Cooper will be officiating. Interment will follow in Meridian Memorial Park cemetery.
Mr. Sessions, 90, passed away Sunday October 13th at Wisteria Manor.
Born May 25, 1929 in Vicksburg, MS, he was the son of John Pete and Rosie Emma Sessions and brother to nine siblings. After serving his country as an Army Sergeant in Germany during the Korean Conflict, James married his wife of 49 years, Jacquelyn, and became “Pops” to two teenage children. He worked as a foreman for Russell-Anaconda, retiring from BP in 1987.
Mr. Sessions was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and walker. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Jacquelyn Hill Sessions; stepdaughter Brenda Wright (Ronald); stepson Ricky Ethridge; grandchildren Jared Wright (Audrey), Anna McHan (Matt), Caleb Wright, Rebecca Ethridge and David Ethridge; great-grandchildren Miles, Lane, Josie, Brooks and Brynlee.
Mr. Sessions was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Rose Sessions, three sisters, six brothers and daughter-in-law Marsha Ethridge.
Pallbearers will be Jared Wright, Caleb Wright, David Ethridge, Matt McHan, Kevin Ethridge and Danny Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Dell Giles and Charles ‘Peanut” James.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
