James Stokley

A memorial service for James Edward Allen Stokley will be held Monday, March 9th, 10:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home with Bro. Virgil Walters officiating.

Mr. Stokley, 39, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, February 27nd, at UMMC of Jackson.

James loved anything to do with racing, cars, and motorcycles, especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Sr. In addition to working at Coca-Cola, he worked part time at Whynot Motorsports Park, a job that he truly enjoyed. He will be most remembered for being a devoted husband and loving father.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Stokley; children, Jessie Stokley, Zachary Stokley, Austin Stokley, and Savannah Stokley; father, James F. Stokley; mother, Mary Ann Thrash; step-mother, Brenda Stokley; brothers, Ben Stokley and Dustin Stokley; sister, Ginny McGee; nieces, Deanna Long, Lauren Tullis and Jessica Wilcox; and nephews, Dakota Stokley, Hunter Stokley, Dylan Long, and B.J. Dearing.

He is preceded in death by grandmothers, Hazel Thrash and Martha Ellis; and uncle, Dennis Ray Thrash.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
