Services for James T. Thompson, Jr. will be held Sunday at 2pm at Webb Chapel with Rev. Wayne Edwards and Rev. Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in Beason Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Thompson, 90, of Collinsville, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at his residence. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Midway Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Vessie Stephens G. Thompson daughter, Daphne Cottrill grandsons, Matt Cottrill and wife Lee, and Josh Cottrill and wife Stephanie great grandson, Thomas Cottrill great granddaughters, Savannah, Callie, and Jordyn Cottrill brother, Charles Thompson and wife Rosie of Delaware, Ohio several special nieces and nephews sister in laws, Janell Kernopp and Faye Rutledge of Meridian, Lee Thompson of Lauderdale, Beryl Burdette and Margaret Thompson of Delaware, Ohio and brother in law, Joe Stephens of Collinsville.

He is preceded in death by his son, Richard Thompson parents, James Talmage and Daisy Thompson sisters, Mary E. Stephens, Louise Thompson, and Joann Morgan brothers, Thomas, Clifford, Bobby, Neville, Ray, and Jerry Thompson.

Pallbearers will be his nephews and honorary pallbearers will be the J.D. Webb Sunday School Class at Midway Baptist Church.
