Jane Tolbert

Martha Jane, "Sweet Thang" Tolbert, 72, of Meridian passed away surrounded by family on November 4, 2017. She was the daughter of Albert Phillips and Martha Naomi Wedgeworth.
She is survived by her sisters, Onie Mae Deavers of Meridian, JoAnn Phillips of Little Rock, her brother Jimmy Phillips of Virginia Beach and many nieces and nephes.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy Tolbert, her sister Florence Reed and brothers Ernest and Raymond Phillips.
A proud cancer survivor, avid Elvis fan and passionate dog lover-to know her was to love her. Words are not possible to convey how wonderful Jane was and how much she will be missed by family and friends. Those she leaves behind will be comforted by her memory.
In lieu of flowers a contribution to a charity of your choice in her name is appreciated.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 2pm at The Veterans Cemetery in Newton.
