Graveside services for Jean Morrow Watkins, (Jeannie) will be Monday, March 6, 2023, at 1:00 at Union City Cemetery. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home in Union has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Ms. Jeannie, 79, died Friday, March 3, 2023, at her residence in Florence, MS. Jeannie was the only child of Jones Brantley and Truell Morrow Watkins, born in Jackson, MS on July 19, 1943. She was reared and spent most of her adult life in Meridian, MS. Jeannie was active in the Presbyterian Church and was a volunteer “Pink Lady” at Rush Hospital in Meridian for many, many years. She excelled at cross stitch (most family members have one or more of her creations), was a great cook (banana pudding!), and her home was immaculate. She enjoyed traveling (she could navigate very well) seeing her cousins and working cross word puzzles. One of her favorite annual events for years was the Neshoba County Fair, where she would stay at her beloved Morrow family cabin and see all her Mars cousins and long time friends from the fair. Later in life, she relocated to Florence, MS to live closer to family.
