May 31, 1941 — November 22, 2024

Meridian

Jerry Lewis Dean, 83, of Meridian, passed away the morning of Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.

Jerry was born to Monroe and Sadie (Reece) Dean on May 31, 1941, in Meridian. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jerry was a simple man who enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. His family rejoices in the knowing that Jerry now rests in the arms of Jesus. Jerry accepted the Lord as his Savior thirty years ago, and ever since that day was a changed man, and would often be found praying and reading his Bible. Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Ann (Ford) Dean; his sons, Mike Dean (Samantha), Eric Dean, and Richard “Richie” Dean (Suzanne); his daughters, Michelle Blastic, Stephanie Zichichi, and Kimberly Taylor (Brian); his brother, Aubrey Dean; a legacy of thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews; and his special brother-in-law, Buster Jellenc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Sadie Dean; his infant son, Richard Kevin Dean; and his great grandson, Dawson Wade Teague.

Graveside Services for Jerry will be held on Tuesday, November 26th, beginning at 11am, at Bucatunna Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Bob Null officiating the service.

The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-Downtown is grateful for the opportunity to honor Jerry’s life and memory and to serve his loving family during this time.
