Funeral Services for Mr. Jesse Holcombe will

be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at

2:00 pm at Webb Chapel with the Revs. Roy Garrett and Malcolm Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Meridian Memorial Park. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Holcombe, 81 , of Cuba, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at his residence in Cuba, AL. He was retired from Mobile Oil Corp. and member of the VFW Post 3359 in Garland, TX and a member of Cuba Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer that loved life and fishing. He was also a veteran of WWII while serving in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his: sons, Robert Mark Holcombe and wife, Carolyn of Meridian; Jesse Keith Holcombe and wife, Lisa of Mobile, Al; and one daughter, Teresa Gayle Holcombe of Avenue, MD; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters: Jean Quave and husband, Leslie of Gulfport, MS; Bessie Kent and husband, Kent of Collinsville, MS; Sue Matt and husband, Ed of Broken Arrow, OK; brother, Ray Holcombe, Jr. and wife, Becky of Meridian, MS.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Winnie Holcombe; brothers: Fred Holcombe and Jerry Holcombe.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Holcombe, Steve Holcombe, Josh Holcombe,

Gordon Kent, Michael Dennis, Jerry Pigford and Greg Quave.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
