Jessie E. "Slick" Beddingfield

Graveside services for Jessie E. "Slick" Beddingfield will be held Monday at 1:30 pm at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Terrance Roberts officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Beddingfield, 92, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the VA Nursing Facility in Kosciusko. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He was a retired captain with the Meridian Fire Department after 29 years of service and also built many houses in the Meridian area. Mr. Beddingfield was a faithful father and grandfather. He also had a passion for music.

He is survived by his two daughters, Lou Davis and husband T.K., and Melodie Gressett; grandson, Marc Davis; granddaughter, Summer Gressett; 3 great granddaughters, Breanna, Madison, and Hannah Davis; sister, Thelma Roberts; nieces and nephews, Bobby Beddingfield and wife Retha, Kay Espey, and Richie McAlister.

Visitation will be Monday from 12-1pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimers Associatiion, 4900 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian, MS 39305
