Jimmy "Wabash" Morgan

Memorial Service for Jimmy "Wabash" Morgan will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3:00pm at James F. Webb Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Stears officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Morgan, 66, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at his residence. He graduated from Meridian High School with Honors in 1970 where he was a member of the National Honor Society and football team. He was also a member of Phi Kappa Fraternity who gave him the nickname "Wabash" that lasted throughout his life. He graduated from Mississippi State University with honors in 1974 with a B.S. Degree in Business and Industry. While at MSU he was a member of the National Honor Society and Kappa Sigma Fraternity and forever a die-hard MSU Bulldog fan. He had worked for Peavey Electronics for the past 37 years. His friends knew how much he loved to sing but most people didn't know how well he could draw. He was a very talented artist. Wabash loved his family and loved spending time with his many, many friends, old and new.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Margie Morgan; Thomas and Roberta Wright; a nephew, Gabriel Goodson.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his parents: Leonard "Sonny" and Ruth Morgan; a sister, Sharon Morgan, all of Meridian; uncle, Lynwood "Bubba" Morgan of Los Angeles, CA; niece, Josie Matthews Kidd and her husband, Chance; great nephew, Gannon Kidd of Collinsville, MSand numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northpark Church Building Fund or your favorite charity.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the funeral home.
