Joe Evans

Graveside services for Mr. Joe T. Evans will be held Friday at 11 am at Briggs Chapel Cemetery in Porterville with Bro. Chris Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Briggs Chapel Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Evans, 83, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Evans of Meridian children, Johnny Evans of Seattle, Washington, and Carol Williamson of Meridian step daughter, April Thrash grandchildren, Jeremy Evans, Stacey Owens, Melissa Weins, Clay Williamson, Lindsey Kalla, and Heather Williamson step grandchildren, Angelica Boyette, Heather Thrash, and Courtney Robertson 10 great grandchildren brothers, Sam and Jimmie Evans and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mattie Evans daughter, Joni Kay Evans and sisters, Dolly Mae Evans and Ruby Dell Taylor.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Wesley House.
Visitation will be Friday from 910 am at the funeral home.
