Funeral services for Mr. John D. Barfield will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Chapel with Rev. Pam Randall officiating. Burial will be at Sageville United Methodist Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Barfield, 73, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in Meridian. He was a member of Sageville United Methodist Church. He was employed by Southern Business and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Hardin of Meridian son, David Barfield and wife, Edna of Meridian sister, Faye Evans and husband, George of Meridian grandchildren: Joseph Hardin Chris Hardin and wife, Bailey Traci Barfield John and husband, Michael Lauren Barfield and David D.J. Barfield, Jr. great grandchild, Cloe Hardin nephews: Alan Evans and wife, Pat, Randy Evans and wife, Wendy, Danny Evans, Tyler Evans and wife, Sara, Dustin Evans, Dylan Evans, Andrew Evans Jon Jon Ellis and wife, Melissa, Monte Ellis, Josh Ellis, Brock Martin, Alex Martin, Stafford Justus and wife, Michelle Jarrod Justus nieces: Nancy Ellis and husband, Terry , Hadley Ellis Mary Beth Justus and husband, Robert Kelly Evans, Allison Justus, Natalie Evans, Chloe Evans and Audrey Justus.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Willie Inez Null Barfield.
Pallbearers will be Fletcher Mayerhoff, Mark Mayerhoff, Marshall Mayerhoff, Michael Mayerhoff, B.J. Barrett, Martin Gaddis, Randy Williams and Willie McClelland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Evans, Randy Evans, Danny Evans, Robert S. Justus, Terry Ellis, Joseph Hardin, D.J. Barfield and Michael John.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
