John Henry Gilbert

Services for Mr. John Henry Gilbert will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11 am at College Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Gilbert, 94, of Meridian, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired as a mechanic from FlintkoteOwens Corning with over 42 years of service. He was a mason with membership at E.J.Knox King Solomon Lodge 130.

He is survived by his daughter, Sue Lowe granddaughter, Katie Cauthen and her husband Terry grandson, Samuel Lowe great granddaughters, Cassie and Abbigail Cauthen brother, James Gilbert three sisters, Alberta Brewer, Syble Wilson, and Ruth Hapip and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded In death by his wife, Myrtle McLaurin Gilbert three sisters, Bell, Mary, and Lucille Gilbert and two brothers, Albert and Lamar Gilbert.

Pallbearers will be James Davidson, Richard Drachenberg, Larry Gilbert, Ray Eldridge, Jimmy Kennem, Andrew Smith, and Bubba Buchanan.
