John Holdiness

Graveside services for Mr. John Douglas Holdiness will be held Saturday at 10 am in the Long Creek Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Chuck Overby will be officiating.

Mr. Holdiness, 67, of Meridian, retired from Atlas Roofing after thirty-five years of service.

He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband and dad. Mr. Holdiness enjoyed hunting and fishing and was known as a prankster. He was a loving brother to his siblings and attended church at Cornerstone Church.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Kathy; children Shawna Holdiness and Corey Holdiness; grandchildren Mercy Jay Holdiness, Macey Blake Holdiness, Ariana Elizabeth Holdiness. He is also survived by siblings Jerry Holdiness, Wanda Gay Smith, Gayle Hawkins, Mack Holdiness Jr. and George Holdiness along with many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Holdiness was preceded in death by his parents Mack and Sandra Holdiness and Freda and Bill Foster along with sister Mary Jane McDonald.
