John Sibley, Jr.

A graveside service for John Dale Sibley Jr. will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian with Rev. Carless J. Evans Jr. officiating. Mr. Sibley, 53, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, in Indio, California. He was born in Meridian, Miss. on April 19, 1956, and he spent most of his life in Okolona, Miss. He held a bachelor of science degree from Mississippi State University and he served two years in the United States Marines. Survivors include his mother, Sandra Saunders Sibley; a daughter, Rachael Sibley Faulkner; two grandsons, James Sibley Gutierrez and Jack Thomas Faulkner; and two sisters, Faye Carole Cleveland and Jessica Sibley Upshaw. He was preceded in death by his father, John Dale Sibley Sr. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Salvation Army or to the church or charity of your choice.
