Johnnie Williams Mills

Graveside services for Johnnie Williams Mills will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 12:30pm at Meridian Memorial Park with Rev. David Joe Lee officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mills, 86, went into the arms of the Lord on February 24, 2018 at Queen City Nursing Home. She was born on Carmichael Community on June 17, 1931 to Ada and Hillary Glover Williams. She worked at Wix, Corp. in North Carolina and for over 30 years at May Webb Hosiery Mill. Mama will be missed by her dogs: Babydoll, Tinkerbell, Baby Lucy and Sissie. She loved red roses, sitting on her front porch in the summer, feeding stray dogs, yard sales, flea markets, watching News Center 11 WTOK, television shows on PBS. She also enjoyed watching Good Times, Pickers, Wheel of Fortune, Sanford & Sons Fox News.
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Allyson Williams; husbands, Clayton Mills and Jack Griffin; sisters: Helen Fitzpatrick, Doris Hoffer and Hazel Harvey; brothers: Leon Williams and Harry Bell; uncle, Grady Williams and aunt, Stella McDonald; nephews: Tommy Todd and Billy Todd; cousins, LeLand Williams, James Williams, Teddy Williams, Gil Carmichael, Stubb Carmichael; daughter-in-law, Elane Griffin.
She is survived by her sons: Mark Griffin and DeVoe Williams and his wife, Julie; grandson, Colby Williams and a sister, Ruth Moody; nieces: Lura Lee and husband, David; Hilda Booth and Hilda Ruth Todd great niece, Susie Russell; nephews: Frankie Hoffer and wife, Janet; Doug Moody and wife, Julie; Rodney Todd and his kids: Ronnie, Doug and David; many cousins: Betty Williams Doerner, Elizabeth Williams and Ella Alston; close friends: Will and Gaynell Hall, Robert and Shirley Reed and Lavonne Ikenberry.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at James F. Webb Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Dr. Touchstone, Anderson Regional Hospital, the registered nurses: Wendy, Brenda, Lisa, Charles and Tanya and the CNAs for all your kindness and care for Mrs. Johnnie.
