Services for Johnnie E. Swain were held Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ramey Hankins officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Swain died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born July 2, 1917 in Attala County to Dana and Eugenia Sanders. She was the third of four children. Mrs. Swain was involved in church work her entire adult life working volunteering primarily with youth in her younger adult years. Later in life she continued her church work by visiting and writing those in her Sunday school class. Each day throughout the week she read a devotional, her Bible and spent time in prayer. There was never any doubt in her faith, trust and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her family was her life She loved every member of her family Her grandchildren were her special pride and joy.

Survivors include her son, John S. Swain Elizabeth grandson, Jonathon Brett Swain granddaughter, Stacy S. Ramsey greatgranddaughters: Melissa and Laura Ramsey and, eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John M. Swain Jr.

Gratitude is expressed to Dr. George SmithVaniz for his dedicated medical care over many years.

Memorials can be made to the Senior Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church Clinton, Mississippi.
