aligncenterwith Revs. Kenny McGill and Alan Randall officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Mitchell, age 80, of Meridian, died Monday, January 28, 2008 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and the Long Creek Community Club. He was also a member of the Oakland Heights Masonic lodge for over 50 years. He retired after 44 years from the Southern Railroad as a signal maintainer.

Survivors include: his wife of 58 years: Helen Louise Fisher Mitchell of Meridian; his daughter: Patricia Mitchell Irby and husband, Jimmy of Causeyville, MS; his son: Perry Leo Mitchell and wife, Lea Ann Tolbert of Philadelphia, MS

his three Grandsons: Keith Irby and wife, Tanya of Quitman, MS; Kevin Irby and wife, Cheri of Quitman, MS; Travis Mitchell and wife, Andrea of Philadelphia, MS; five great grandchildren: Shelby Irby, Jacob Irby, Hayleigh Irby, Canyon Mitchell and Jackson Mitchell;

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin and Daisy White Mitchell and an infant sister.

Pallbearers will be Randy Fisher, Dwayne Fisher, Ronald Fisher, Fred Frey, Wendell Hosteteler, Arnold Ray Enzor and Al Kimbrall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Broadman, Gavin Fisher, Robert Fisher and Southern Seniors.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
