Graveside services for Kate Mizell Alexander will be held Monday at 11am at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery located at 13091 Suqualena Rd, Chunky, MS. Rev. Todd Tilghman and Rev. Sean Rodgers will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Alexander, 82, of Chunky, passed away Friday at Diversacare Nursing Center. She lovingly served her community as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. Her favorite hobby was the gift of crocheting. Mrs. Alexander's family are excited that she will be able to celebrate Christmas and her birthday this year in the presence of her Savior.
She is survived by four daughters who are celebrating her life; Clarece Davidson (JR), Wanda Snuggs (Steve), Gwen Garrett (Darryl) and Dee Lawson (Bill). She is also survived by her sister in law Janet Mizell; brother in law Arthur Jones; thirteen grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willis and Sally Mizell; husband Byrd Alexander; grandson Justin Davidson and seven siblings.
Pallbearers will be her son in laws, grandsons and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Alexander's honor to the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o David Alexander, 998 Hopewell Road, Little Rock, MS 39327.
