Services for Mrs. Kathryn Gough will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. with Father Jose Sanchez officiating. Visitation will be from 12 - 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Gough, 78, of Meridian, passed away on Monday at her residence after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Kathryn was born in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was a longtime resident of Meridian and a graduate of St. Aloysius High School and attended Meridian Community College. She was a very active and faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was employed as the church secretary for 34 years until her retirement in 2008. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Sodality. She had several hobbies through out her younger years such as piano, roller skating, tennis, bowling,bridge, and boating that she enjoyed.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard Gough; daughters, Suzanne Day (Alan), Dianne Buchanan, and Katie Gough; son, Charles Gough (Glenda); grandchildren, Shannon Day Richardson (Justin), Ashley Day, Matthew Buchanan, Marcus Buchanan (Brittany), Chelsea Gough, and Harrison Gough; and great grandchildren, Austin Day, Tyler Buchanan, Jackson Buchanan, and Brexley Buchanan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Charles McGill; a baby sister, Johnnie Louise; and a grandson, Alex Day.
Pallbearers will be Harrison Gough, Matthew Buchanan, Marcus Buchanan, Tyler Buchanan, John Harwell, and Tom Zettler.
In liue of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to St. Patrick School or the American Cancer Society.
