A graveside service for Kathryn Cutsus Marks will be held Saturday, September 28th, 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Bro. Jack Kern officiating.
Mrs. Marks, 100, of Meridian, passed away September 22nd at her residence.
She was born in Little Rock, AR on July 3, 1919 to a Greek immigrant George Cutsus and wife Effie Cheatham Cutsus. She spent the majority of her life as a resident of Meridian where she retired from the Social Security Administration in 1981. Her golden years were spent traveling the globe. She never met a stranger, she loved life and was a lover of nature’s beauty. Even when her mind and body failed, she still enjoyed bird watching and star gazing. She was blessed to be cared for at home by her family and caregiver of 13 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Melody Norris and husband Doug Norris of Brandon, MS; son, Gerald Marks and wife Cindy of Enterprise, MS; grandchildren, Tabitha Marks, Johnathan Norris, and DJ Norris; several great grandchildren; and numerous loved nieces and nephews, including great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Louis A. Marks; sister, Dot Frick; and brother-in-law; Al Frick.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to charity of choice.
