Memorial services for Mr. Kenneth Dale Denton will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Scooba Baptist Church. Rev. Donald Martin and Rev. Charlie Long will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home of DeKalb oversees arrangements.
Mr. Denton, 84, of Scooba, passed away Wednesday at the G.V."Sonny" Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. He served his country in the U.S. Army having foreign duty in Germany. Mr. Denton enjoyed the outdoors whether he was farming, hunting or fishing and through his enjoyment of guns, he opened his own gun shop. His true love was his family who along with many friends will miss him very much.
He is survived by his wife Linda Mitchell Denton; daughter Sherry Warren and husband Mike of Columbus, MS; son Dewayne Green and wife Lynda of Meridian; special nephew Tommy Reynolds and wife Susan of Scooba, along with six grandchildren. Mr. Denton is also survived by his sisters Doris Dew and husband Carl, Julie McClurg and husband Morgan; brother Wayne Denton and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Ruth Denton, three brothers and one sister.
