Kenneth Ringle Tatum

Kenneth Ringle Tatum, 87, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Infinity Hospice in Marion. He was a retired petroleum geologist and was a veteran of the U.S. ArmyAir Corp serving in World War II. He participated in some 33 bombing missions over China, the Phillipines, Japan, and New Guinea. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University.

He is survived by his children, John Armistead Sandy of Tupelo, Thom Armistead of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Michael Armistead of Meridian nieces, Virginia McPhearson William Pruett of Pittsview, Alabama, and Grace OGrady Liam of McLean, Virginia nephew, J Lee McPhearson Gayle of Butler, Alabama grandchildren, William Armistead Audra of Tupelo, and David Armistead Laura of Birmingham, Alabama 8 great grandchildren and 4 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Serena Tatum parents, Robert Lee and Grace Ringle Tatum sister, Nancy Tatum McPhearson brother, William Lee Tatum and nephew, Richard Edwin McPhearson, Jr.

The family requests donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
