Memorial services for Mr. Lamar Alton Garrett will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at James F. Webb Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Garrett officiating.
Mr. Garrett, of Meridian, passed from this life into the next on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Lamar loved to cut his grass and sit out on his back porch and enjoy the comfort of the sunshine. He was an avid reader and would read just about anything but especially loved reading a good mystery.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Garrett; Children, Butch (Melba) Garrett, Steve (Diane) Garrett, and Roy (Debbie) Garrett; Sister, Betty Faye (Billy Ray) McCarra; Brothers, Roy S. (Sharlene) Garrett and Leon (Beverly) Garrett; Sister in law, Yvonne Garrett; Grandchildren, Steven Garrett, Lamar (Becky) Garrett, Alyse (Demetris) Surles, Megan Garrett, and Dustin Garrett; Nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
