Latitia Mcdade

Latitia Bryan McDade entered into her eternal home with her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2022 at the age of 68. She was born to the late Leo and Blanche Bryan of Binnsville, MS on October 13, 1953. She is survived by her husband Robert E. “Bobby” McDade of almost 49 years; her three children Ben McDade (Dana), Marie Brooks (Josh) and Laura Keener (Shawn); her 7 grandchildren Avery, Mallory, Carson, Grayson, Caroline, Hayes, and Callie Grace; her siblings Sonny Bryan, Jimmy Bryan, Bubba Bryan (Jan), and Anne Grove (John) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was never one who desired to travel to the ends of the earth, she would rather spend her time at home on her patio surrounded by her flowers and a perfect sunset. She was an incredible cook, a great seamstress, and made bargain hunting look easy. Her friends knew her as a person who gave selflessly and loved fiercely, and to none more so than to her family. She led by example in placing her faith in Jesus Christ as her firm foundation and loving others the way Jesus calls us to. She battled cancer but it did not define her spirit. The battle only brought her closer to Him as she clung to the truth of His Word. 1 Peter 5:10 was one of her favorite verses. It says “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” We are thankful her hope was in Jesus and not anything of this world.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 27 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Webb and Stephens Funeral Home in DeKalb, MS with funeral services on Tuesday, June 28 at 10:00 am at Bay Springs Baptist Church in Porterville, MS.
