Mrs. Lillian Skinner Wallace of Meridian, MS and Navarre, FL left this world peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the age of 93, to join those who went before her; her husband, Paul A. Wallace Sr., a retired Captain with the Meridian Fire Department; mother and father, Mary L. and James E. Skinner; brothers, Victor and Benny Skinner; SIsters, Mamie Moore, Dora Hill, Ouida Slayton and Carolyn Espey.
She leaves behind a brother, Walter Skinner; a brother-in-law, J.W. Espey; her children Brenda and Ralph Ames and Paul and Andrea Wallace; her grandchildren, Lee and Tracie Ames, Deeya and Ron Davis, Trent and Nora Wallace, Sarah and Kimson Nguyen, John Siren and Michael Siren; her Great grandchildren, Samantha Ames Alderman (Clayton), Arianna Ames Simmering (Thomas), Taylor Davis and Stacie Parker (Steve); two great-grandchildren, Zayne Parker and Emily Grace Alderman. She also leaves behind special nieces in Meridian, Shellye Espey and Joyce Rumery and a nephew Tim Skinner (Evelyn) and others of her extended family and friends.
While in Meridian, she was a member of the Firemen's Wives Auxiliary, The Eastern Star and Calvary Baptist Church. At the time of her death she was a member of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church and took part in some of their senior activities.
In her younger years, she worked in the meat market at Winn-Dixie and in the sporting department of Gibsons's in Meridian.
However, Lillian will probably be known and missed more for her ability to listen to others. She cared deeply and was the angel by their side for many who needed a soft shoulder and caring attitude. With love in her heart, she lived a gentle and loving life, touching each person with kindness as she went by.
Lillian's family is sorry that everyone could not have known and loved her as they have.
Now rest in the arms of Jesus and have pain and worry no more.
Family Funeral Home of Pensacola and James F. Webb funeral home of Meridian,MS have been entrusted with Lillian's arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, July 22,2016 10:00-12:00pm.
