Ms. Lois R. Deavers

Services for Ms. Lois R. Deavers will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, 2:00 PM at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carroll Reid officiating. Interment will be in Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 from 5 - 7 PM.

Ms. Deavers, 79, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at her Sisters residence in Union, MS. She was a long time employee of Royal Theatre and retired from The Meridian Star where she was an employee in the mail room. She was a member of County Line Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her two sisters, Norma Sharp of Union, MS and Essie Mae Dearman of Meridian, MS; one brother, K.C. Cato of Millry, AL; Two nieces, Mary Stapp of Meridian, Martha Reid and her husband Carroll of Union, MS. She is also survived by five great nieces, Jessie Taylor, Kanah Taylor, Paisley Taylor, Courtney Nowell, and Samantha Bishop; three great nephews, Dusty Taylor and wife Gail, Justin Bishop, and Bobby Joe Reid; by one sister in law, Onie Mae Deavers and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Dennis and Elliott Leona Deavers; and by one brother, Sammy Deavers and a nephew, Michael Dale Taylor.
