Mrs. Lois Barber Northam

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Barber Northam will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 11:00 am in Webb Chapel with the Rev. Hiram Coker officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Northam, age 95, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She graduated from Meridian High in 1933 and was the oldest living member of Hawkins Memorial Methodist Church. She dedicated her life to serving God and others and was dearly loved by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Tommy E. Northam and his wife, Romona of Meridian; daughter, Clara Nell Cameron and her husband, Hugh of Demopolis, AL; sister, Mattie Castain of San Diego, CA; two half-brothers; one half-sister, all of Mobile, AL; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Northam; her parents, James C. and Clara Monroe Northam; sister, Angie Shults; brothers: Sam Barber, Vic Barber and John Barber and one half-sister.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Joe Northam, Tommy Northam, Jr., Brad Northam, Mike Cook, Jr., Cam Cameron, Tony Cameron, Chris Cameron, and Tom Cameron. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Hawkins Memorial Methodist Church and Dr. Shawn Anderson.

Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
