Lucille Timms

Lucille VanScyoc Timms, 84, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. She was born on April 17, 1937, in Mt Olivet, Ohio to the late Neil Thomas and Elizabeth Mae (Davis) VanScyoc.

Lucille was a retired legal secretary for HQ Defense Logistic Agency, Office of General Council, Alexandria, VA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" R. Timms on August. 11, 2018; step-mother, Hilda VanScyoc; infant brother, Jerry; sisters, Carolyn June Stephens, Pauline Shepherd, Dorothy B. Stephens; and step-sister, Marilyn Rigas.

Lucille is survived by a sister, Betty Winters of Port Richey, FL , family and dear friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1pm at Hope Cemetery in Hendrysburg, Ohio with Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Lucille's care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.  There will be memorial service at a later date for her Meridian friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lucille's memory to the Calvary Baptist Church, 3905 8th Street, Meridian, MS 39307 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
