Services for Lucy Carter will be held Thursday at 10:30 am at Causeyville Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Carter, 96, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at her residence. She was a longtime member of Causeyville Baptist Church and was well known in her community.

She is survived by her son, Donald Carter; grandchildren, James Carter, Becky Moffett (Glenn), Billie Jo Williams, and Kim Polk (Shawn); great grandchildren, Carter, Brooke, and Brandon Williams, Jessica Moffett, Ashley, Emily, and Johnathan Polk; sister, Norma Jean Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Carter; parents, Ollie Bailey and Sarah Martin Bailey; son, Billy Edward Carter; siblings, Martin Bailey (Bebe), Lamar Bailey (Evelyn), Ridell Bailey, Lois Long (George), Ruby Herrod (Douglas), and Ethel Thorne (James).

Pallbearers will be Monty Sellers, Kenny Sellers, Larry Wilson, Ross Wingo, Phil Bailey, Johnathan Polk, Shawn Polk, and Thomas Williams.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home, and Thursday from 10-10:30 am at the church.
