Mrs. Mae Carol was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Meridian where she taught children in Sunday School for many years. In Mae Carol's free time she was an avid bridge player. The Senior Citizen Center served as a second family to Mae Carol in her late years. Bridge was not her only passion; she also loved baseball. She would often watch multiple games at the same time by flipping through the channels. Although the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox held a special place in her heart. The biggest part of Mae Carol's life were all of the children she held so close to her heart. She always treasured the hugs children would give her in the halls at church. Most important of all were the children in her family for whom she was willing to do anything.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Holloway; her son, Steve Eastwood; her daughter in law, Gale Eastwood; her grandchildren, Augusta Holloway, Clifford Holloway(Erika), Scott Eastwood, Reagan Duncan (Frank), Alex Eastwood and Connor Eastwood; her great grandchildren, Macie Holloway, Harrison Holloway, Ava Laine Eastwood and Lincoln Eastwood; her Brother, Monroe "Sonny" Gensert Jr. Special friends of the family, Amy Eastwood, Clifford "Scooter" Holloway, Sam Ross, Jessie Davis and her lifelong best friend Carleen Stone.
