Mamie Fortson

A graveside service for Ms. Mamie Fortson will be held Thursday, April 5th, 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Garden Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Harrison officiating. Barham Funeral Home Forest Lawn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Fortson, 84, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mamie retired from Holiday Inn where she worked as an assistant restaurant manager. She will be most remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother.
Her survivors include her children Joe Fortson (Brenda) and Lisa Smiley; grandchildren Crystal Price (Berry), Carmen Douglas (Johnathan), Elise Dickerson (Philip), and Jessie Marshall (Myers); great grandchildren Hunter Douglas, Carson Price, and Henry Dickerson; and brother Clinton Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clifton and Inez Brown Vaughn; sisters Vivian Whittington and Katie Crowell; and brothers Earnest Vaughn, Joe Vaughn, and Charleston Vaughn.
Visitation will be held an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
